Waiting for Fireflies

Childhood memories of catching fireflies in the back yard after a supper and putting them in mason jars to glow as the sun went down.  Summertime, simple life.  This painting had a warm pink and orange sunset and not quite time for fireflies but the next painting i completed were mason jars at dusk with a few lightning bugs already caught.
