Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester Massachusetts is in my hometown. It's a beautiful old farm - an astonishing 383 years old with the 1828 barn build by Asa Locke still there. The farm was purchased by the town and has become not only a working farm but a community farm that has fun events, classes, event space, and a kitchen and farm stand. This oil painting was based on a photo I took one early spring morning as the sun came up and warmed the white farmhouse and barns. The scene was peaceful, quiet - accept for the animals waking - and the hint of spring weather coming with the yellow pops of color from flowers planted along the street.
